I loved tamagotchi in the 90s as a kid! I love my current tamagotchi friends! And I now love this app! So cute and fun! I like how it notifies me when it needs attention, very convenient. Been easy enough to care for so far! I love how you can earn different shell colors, cant wait to get a pink one!! The only thing I would like is if it would be updated a lil to be more like the current tamagotchi friends.. With cuter characters, a point system, and a pause button. But I understand how this is prob meant to be nostalgic. Which it deff succeeded in that! Very close to the original. Overall I love it and glad to have this app in my tama collection! Thanks bandi keep it up!!

Im on an iPhone 6s Plus. I cant speak for any other iOS devices, but on this phone the game runs at a speed thats probably 1000x faster than it should. The whole day/night cycle takes about 30 minutes, and it should be synced to real time (so 24 hours). This causes the Tamagotchi to literally need constant attention, which completely destroys the whole Tamagotchi experience. The point of the Tamagotchi is to have a virtual pet that lives on a natural diurnal schedule. Its not meant to be a game that you have to keep open constantly. This bug is game breaking, and very disappointing to me because I was so excited when I learned that an official classic Tamagotchi app existed. I know its only $0.99, so theres a good chance that this isnt ever going to be fixed, but I wanted to write this review so other fans of the original Tamagotchi would know that this isnt worth the money.

As soon as I open it on my watch it says domain error and I cant do anything. Thats why I downloaded it. Also my phone app doesnt seem to work either.

Loved the app but it wont let me go back to the shell view. Its stuck on the full color view, which I hate.

Fun app but super annoying. Tamagotchi dies without giving a notice that it is sick or needing something. Lasts 8 days at the most.

This is really good! I loved how they brought it back and put it on iOS! They should really do for the Digimon vpet one because that was really fun and and basically the same thing and was intended for guys and this one was intended for girls. So make the Digimon one!

This is a great app is awesome for nostalgia but it would be even better if it included all of the versions like p2, p3, p4, and p5. I like the other features like the wallpapers and progress and all the gotchis youve raised and such.

The phone version seems fine, but I got it for my watch. I dont want to have to take my phone out every time it needs attention. Heres some suggestions: -add animations to watch app. You press a button like "meal" and nothing happens. I dont even know if it did anything. -there is not even an option to play a game with you pet. So thats a must. -alerts in English would also be a plus. Please let me know when these issues have been remedied. I will be deleting the app until then. Thank you.

I love this app. Its an exact replica of the original tamagotchi game. It REALLY needs the matchmaker experience and friend-to-friend game/present-giving though. I miss being able to send things to people and getting to breed your own babygotchis. Please add this feature in the next update!!!

**Also I agree that there needs to be more animation with the watch app. It should mirror what the iPhone app does, and there is no reason that it cant. The Apple Watch is an extremely capable device and this would not cripple performance in my opinion. **different versions to choose between, would also be welcomed. **Also it would be helpful to add an option to choose between for time the lapse: (beginner/ intermediate/ expert) For people who have little time/ part time/ or full time dedication. Beginner would be: 24hrs Intermediate would be: 12hrs Expert would be: 6-8hrs

Mine also wont live past 6 years old.

I dont know if its just me or not but I cant unlock any new tamagotchis. I always get the same one and the longest Ive kept my tamagotchi alive was 3 weeks. However this game is great bc Ive been dying to find a tamagotchi since they were my favorite toy as a child and this does the trick.

Fun throw back to the original, but it always does when its the same age-no matter how well I take care of it. Everything will be 100% and I check back an hour later and its dead. My friend has the same issue with hers.

Just like the one I had back in the day. But there is plenty of room for improvement. Make it more animated on my iWatch so I dont always have to use my phone. And you really need to make it so that my Tamagotchi can visit my other friends Tamagotchis :)

I had a few of the actual tamagotchi pets when they came out and even a few of the v2 through v5. While this offers a similar experience its not the same. You cant connect with friends, the game requires constant attention and theres only about 4 adult tamagotchi (not sure how many there were in the original) I was hoping that this would bring back some awesome memories. Not really. Not worth 99 cents unless they add the ability to connect with friends.

I loved my Tamagotchi growing up, and this app is awesome and Nostalgic. I hope they start including things that came with the later versions soon like breeding, names, other games, visiting, and the like.

Perfect! The only thing missing is iCloud backup to play on other devices. Now, you need to remake the nano pets as an app! The kitty, baby, and dog!

So many people complain about x y or z but probably havent spent more than a day with it. I raised my Tamagotchi over a week. It wasnt till the second actual day that I had any reason to discipline him. The bar does increase when done accurately. The calling notification mechanism makes it easy to care for your friend. Mine is already a happy adult ginjirotchi after 6 days. Fun app. I will start again once this little guy runs his course.
